Recurrence Error

Wayfarer

Every time I start up Outlook (Outlook 2003 running under XP) I get the
following error message. How can I make it go away?

"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some
reminders may not appear. Cannot locate recurrence information for this
appointment."

Thanks,

Try using the /cleanreminders switch when you next start Outlook.
Start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders.

Milly,

Thanks for your response. It didn't work. I tried the /cleanreminders
switch from both "run" and a Command Prompt in the EXE directory,
rebooted both times (probably waving a dead chicken, but who knows?) and
I got the same error message.

Could it be that a particular appointment has gotten corrupted and
generates the error every time Outlook opens and tries to test it?

Also, though it might be considered bad netiquette by some (please
ignore if so), while I have your attention, there's another matter I
posted a day or two ago:

I'm using Outlook 2003 on an XP machine. Often (I don't know if it's
every time or not), when I send out an email, if someone replies
including my message as part of theirs, the apostrophes are replaced
with a "" (a vertical line with "arrows" on both ends). Sometimes this
happens in (mostly HTML) email sent to me, as well.

How do I keep this from happening?

BTW, it was groups.google.com I searched first... ;-D

Thanks again for your help.

Milly, I get the same error message and I also tried 'cleanreminders' to no
avail. Any other suggestions?
