Hi I know this is not a hardware wquestion but in building the PC I
accedently quick formatted a partition. Is there a way around this
that dosn't cost lots of money.

Quick answer: no, based upon available data.

Are you trying to recover an operating system's files, or data files?
If an operating system, what system?

A quick format simply clears the partition table. If it's data you could
do a search for a program that rebuilds that table, or maybe someone
here knows of one.

I like that -- doesn't cost a lot of money. In a roundabout way -- is
there a fixed price on your stupidity?

I went through several such not long ago after trashing my HD. Stupid
PS, or, stupid old MB;- not me - oh, no - of course not.

Since it didn't take much more than several days, or at least totally
a week, if not two, to get every damn thing back, I lost, in pristine
condition -- the cost is monetarily an indeterminate assessment of
what I could have lost. I'm still figuring that, though. . .yes, it's
so hazy when you're in a daze?

And, so, for what that's worth, I'd as soon defer to your estimation.
