HP may not supply a full Windows CD with their computers.
So they may have a special CD with the Recovery Console.
The Recovery Console just boots a command line interface (it
looks like, but is not DOS). Windows XP is based on Windows
NT. NTLDR is NT Loader. Windows Root is the first layer of
Windows, system 32 is the folder, and hal.dll is the
hardware dynamic linked library, the firsts that contain
Windows. Somebody may correct some errors in my
description, but it is close enough for now.
What did HP say? Do they have a CD, will they supply a real
Windows CD or just part of it? At what cost.
Once you get the Recovery Console running, you use typed
word commands to repair the files on your hard drive.

| What is a recovery console cd? I contacted HP about my
computer showing the error message that my NTLDR is missing.
And windows root\system32\hal.dll is missing or corrupted.
So what will this cd do?
