Recovering deleted files

Apart from restoring from a backup, is there a way in
Windows 2000 server to restore (or Salvage as it is known
as in Novell) a file that has been deleted by a user from
a shared drive?

Hello Aleks,

There is no way to do this within the operating system since deleting the
files on a shared drive bypasses the recycle bin. There may be some tools
available on the internet that provides this feature.
