recovering data from a diskette

I have two folders on a diskette. One folder will open and I can access the
files in it. The other folder will not open and I get a balloon saying it is
empty, I have about ten files on this disk and need to know if and how I go
about recovering the data.

Thanks Anne but I have no other choice but to use a floppy disk. Now that I
have screwed the pooch what can I do to get my files back?

Try dragging the entire folder from your floppy to your hard drive. If you
still can't open from your hard drive, find a machine on which you can run a
thorough scandisk and a defrag and run it on the floppy disk. You *may* be
able to recover then. Alternatively, try File-->Open, Recover text from any
file.

Thanks again for your help unfortunately I still have not been able to
recover anything. I guess I'll just have to start typing again, which sucks
pretty hard!
