recover previous file after a save and close

I accidently deleted all the text in a file and saved and closed it without
renaming. I haven't closed the program. Are there temp files out there
somewhere that I can recover. This was a thesis. It was huge! Help!!

If you're lucky, there may be a temp file or two in your Temp folder holding an image of the document from a previous save. Check
