Recover old version of spreadsheet?

I'm running Windows 2000 Professional and I have been compiling info in
an Excel Spreadsheet. I've somehow saved new work under some temp file
or something becuase the main spreadsheet I have on my hard drive is
missing all of my work from the weekend. HELP!
 
You may be able to open excel and use File|open and choose from the list of most
recently used files at the bottom of that drop down.

Or maybe you could use windows start button|documents and choose from that list.

Or maybe you could search your harddrive for *.xls and look through all the
files based on last update date/time.
