Recover data from .OST file...

Is it possible to recover data from an .OST file?

I have a user that deleted their Exchange connection and can no longer view
their contacts, messages, etc. And, of course, they can no longer remember
the Exchange server settings...let alone their login credentials.

Can the .OST file be imported, edited, converted to a readable format so it
can be imported?

Thanx.

There were OST to PST conversion utilities, but the only reason you'd want
to use them is if you have absolutely no method of accessing the Exchange
server/the mailbox was deleted. Otherwise, the server will have all the
data. If they are your user, are you not able to tell them their Exchange
server and reset their password? If it isn't your Exchange server, why not
direct them to their Exchange Administrator to find out what their
connection settings should be?

I am not their administrator of their Exchange server and, unfortunately,
they have lost communication with their administrator (online account) for
over a month now and yesterday, they noticed they are no longer able to log
in to their account (I'm assuming it's been deleted).

Any way to recover the data?

Thanx.

Could do a search of OST2PST and try that, but I wouldn't guarantee it.
There are third party tools, like www.convertost.com, but YMMV. Their best
bet would be to do whatever it takes to contact the online account provider
that was giving them Exchange access.

Yes, I tried the OST2PST utility (good ol' google), but it didn't work. It
appeared to have converted the file as it was the right size, but ended with
an error and was unreadable by Outlook.

Thanx.
