recover corrupt pst file

hello
please help.
my outlook.pst has become corrupt. When I open outlook - a message states
' the data personal files was not closed properly, etc...'
all of my email, contacts, calendar entries are inaccessible.
i used scanpst.exe but i got a message - 'an unexpected error prevented
access to this file. use a disk error tool to check the disk, etc'
i used chkdsk - no problems there
also, i used a third party software to recover the file - but it didn't work.
Anyone out there that can help me out???

Start WIndows in safe mode and try to use scanpst. Do not start Outlook.

it is from an outlook 2007 version, about 900mb

I ran it from safe mode - but I got the same error message

anyone have an idea how to help me out??

I would try to copy the file to another location, then retry scanpst.
