recordsets and form

hi

MS Access 2003 SP2.

forms backed by recordsets.

if i attempt to do a advanced form filter, it gives an error saying
cannot filter form powered by recordset. subsequently access crashes
and burns. has anybody experienced this?

what's the solution to this?

is there away to disable the respective menuitems and short cut keys to
do form filtering?

haven't run into the filter problem, but you can easily turn off the menuitems
and shortcut keys to prevent form filtering ... Tools, Startup, then clear
the check box for Builtin menus, Toolbars and shortcuts.
