Recordset Not Updatable

I have a form set up based on a query. When I open the form I get the
following message down in the corner:

This recordset is not updatable

I cannot change any of the information on the form when it is open, the
records are not locked nor is the form locked. I've checked everything I
know to look at, please advise any suggestions.

What about the query your form is based on... can you enter records there?
Sounds like you need to fix that first.
