Records?

Hello Experts,

The word Record has many meanings - far too many.

There is the "12 diameter two sided record." This seems easy but I think
that using the word Record is a bit vague in general.

Does anyone have a better description?

Thanks :)

"12-inch long-playing vinyl stereo sound recording" in some combination or
another does the job for me. For someone of my generation the simple term
"LP" works unless it is in reference to Liquified Petroleum (gas) instead.

The context should provide all the explanation you need. If it does
not, perhaps specifying "vinyl record" would suffice.
