1. Yes, so long as you have installed recording software.
2. In newsgroup names, "media" is the likest word.

There are many screen/window capturing programs available. The one that I
have found to be the most versatile is Camtasia Studio which records both
video and audio.

Precisely. My point was: given the pointer of the name "Camtasia Studio",
you could have simply plugged that into Google (which is all I did) and
found out the answers to your second set of questions more quickly than it
took you to write them, post them and wait for an answer.
