Can anyone recommend a good program that will allow me to record streaming
audio? I need to record for about 1 hour. Also, I don't want spyware on my
PC if I can help it.

I'm running Windows XP Pro on a 350Mhz PC, with 160Mb RAM. Thanks.

If it's an online radio then it has to be Screamer Radio .......

If you're gonna go for it, I'd highly recommend the latest beta (been using
it since it's release and it's without a doubt, one of the most stable
beta's I've ever tried .... and add's (amongst other things) AAC stream
support).

Downloaded and up-and-running.

Thanks a lot. Rich.

VLC Media Player (VideoLAN http://www.videolan.org) can record streams
but I think the series of controls that you have to use to activate
VLC's recorder is ridiculously complex. By the time I can get the
recorder set up and running, the segment that I wanted to save is over.

I *REALLY* like XMPlay (http://www.un4seen.com/). It's got a "Write to
disc" command in the Context menu. Two mouse clicks and you're
recording in a split second. Additionally, XMPlay has no spyware---and
it has no installer either. You can run it from anywhere on your drive,
from a floppy or a CD and tuck it away in your pocket when you're done
(if you want to).
