Recording macros

While recording a macro can I open another spread sheet and cut, copy, paste
to my macro that I'm recording? I have tried several times and get "run time
error messages).
 
No. Stgop recording and then merge two macros together witt a cut and paste.
write the macros in small pieces, it is easier to debug.
