Recording for longer than 60 seconds.

Hello.

I want to transfer some recordings I made with my hand held voice recorder
onto my PC, through my mike. The system 'sound recorder' will only record 60
sec. of sound. That's just NOT gonna do the trick for me! I need to record
about 15 mins. How on EARTH do I do that!? I've searched 'help' and can't get
any info on this subject.

I HOPE someone here can tell me what to do. There HAS to be a way to do this
without 'rigging' a utility in some way, yes?? I HOPE so!

Go to windows media home page/downloads,scroll from player to encoder,
download the encoder.Youre recording time is limited to the amount of space

There was no encoder for media player 10, only for 9. That's the one I
downloaded. It also said to download the 'codecs' also and the one I got is
also for version 9. Will this work? Also I have NO idea what to do with them!
I'm assuming just install? Anything else I need to know to use them? I'm a
novice when it comes to 'encoders and codecs'.

You can trick SOUND RECORDER. The process it detailed here...

Some sound cards come with a recording utility; review your documentation
and list of programs. There are also many competent programs available on
the Net. Do an http://google.com search for "PC sound recorder", and you
will see many choices.
