Record counter in access forms

Hi!
In access report it is possible to insert an unbound textbox and set it's
control source to (=1) and it's running sum property should be set to over
all. then in print we see that access for every record shows the rcord
number. (a counter i mean).
This doesn't work on a access form and i want to know that is there a way to
do that thing in a form or query?
Best wishes...

How about a text box with Control Source set to the CurrentRecord property
of the form:
=[CurrentRecord]
