record advance buttons...

I have some forms and the users continue (even though I have told them not
too!!!) to click on the record advancer on the bottom left side of a form. So
they are in the middle of a record and click the advance arrow and a new
record populates and they don't know what happened. Is there anyway to hide
those forward and backword record advance buttons on the bottom left hand
side of a form?

In Design View goto Form's Property Box click on the Format tab and set
Navigation Buttons to NO.

turn off display of Nagivation Buttons on form
---

go to the design view of the form

turn on the properties window
(from the menu --> View, Properties
OR
R-click and choose Properties from the shortcut menu)

select the form
-- click in the upper left square, where the rulers intersect

in the properties:

Nagivation Buttons --> No

Warm Regards,
Crystal

I just finally have to ask this, Crystal, because I see it everyday here and
on other forums:

Why would you come along over 24 hours after I've posted the answer to JJ's
question, and post the exact same answer? Doesn't anyone read all of a post
before responding? I can understand when someone posts a different approach
to a problem; my signature refers to that, but the identical answer? I'm not
trying to be mean, but as I've said, I see this all the time, and it makes no
sense!

Not that I in any way can answer on behalf of Crystal, but this isn't
a forum, this is Usenet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet. Some
choses to access the NGs through web portals, which makes them seem
like web fora, but they are not. The web site, is an interface to
Usenet (like the one you use, Microsofts' interface, Google Groups or
others)

Lot of people prefer using news readers.

In any case, we depend on our ISP, News provider or web portal to have
all the threads and posts copied/mirrored so that we see them, which
is not always the case.

It might be that your replies were not mirrored to the news server
Crystal use at the time of replying.

I am sorry for that, missinglinq, your reply did not show up until after
I posted a reply as well ... dial-up ... but even when I had a faster
connection, all the posts of a thread did not show up, I do not
knowingly post a response unless I have something worthwhile to
contribute that has not already been said.

Warm Regards,
Crystal
