recomendations on small free fast mail progy

Windows ME, dialup, text only mail send and receive with ability to
handle attachments if possible . . .

I still have Netscape 4.7 on my system, just for mail, and want to
ditch it. Thunderbird works fine but takes long to load.

I use jbmail since a couple of years, as a fast replacement
for the main mail program. I also used it on a floppy in internet
coffes.... the free version allows you only one user account.

By default the Foxmail interface is in chinese. To use Foxmail in english
just go into the installation directory and delete the Chinese.lgb file
