recognizing workgroup server in AD

Hello-

I have Windows 2K Advanced Server that is set up as a DC. I also have a separate server set up as a workgroup server. I would like the 2K server to recognize the workgroup server in AD. When I go into AD on the DC, I cannot see/find the workgroup server and cannot add it to the directory. Am I missing something or can this be done?

You have to join this server to the domain. Only domain members are
listed in Active Directory, logged on to with domain accounts, and
managed with Group Policy.
