reclaim space after reinstallation

Hello,

I'm sorry this question is about win 98 reinstallation (if someone can post
the win98 forum data I'll be glad to post there, I couldn't find it),
so basically I reinstalled the SO over the current version and there is
few free hd space now.

The disk is small but windows is taken too much I think:

1564.16Mb C: (139.28Mb)
1072.66Mb WINDOWS (101.03Mb)
284.00Mb Application Data (0.00Mb)
283.59Mb Microsoft (0.00Mb)
279.16Mb Outlook Express (278.81Mb)

I already uninstalled unnecessary software, win components, defrag, used
disk clean up, temporary etc.

But I guess something more can be done (can't buy a new hd).
Any help please?

Your problem is obviously Outlook Express. Open OE, click 'Tools', 'Options'
(I use XP so I'm not positive about the next steps), 'Maintenance' or click
into tab that refers to 'Cleaning up Messages'. Check all the boxes
referring to 'Deleting messages on exit'. Also look for a 'Clean up
downloaded messages on your computer'. 278MB is an awful lot of messages so
I believe there is another underlying problem or files to be deleted or
repaired. Sorry I can't give more help, using XP.
