recieve emails and the photos are open already but the photos are solid
grey.no red x,no info when right click photo.

If you're having the problem under XP, this isn't a newsgroup where

Never heard of that symptom. As a test, email yourself a known good picture.
Sounds like the sender is doing something wrong.
