Recent Programs List

The dialog box that opens when you press the start button used to show a list of recently used programs - this no longer happens - any suggestions. I have tried decreasing and increasing the number to display but nothing shows

The Microsoft TweakUI utility has a Paranoia tab that has a
setting that clears the document history, so if you
installed it and cleared the check mark in its box, the
documents should be listed.

Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Themes > Taskbar and Start Menu >
Start Menu (tab) > Customise (button) > General (tab) is where you saw the
"Number of programs on Start menu", but Advanced (tab) has a check box for
"List my most recently opened documents" which controls whether you see any
at all.

Which Start Menu are you using? If Classic/Use Personalized Menus. If not:
