Receiving replied sent items in my inbox

I am using Outlook 2003 to receive IMAP/SMTP messages. When I reply to
messages, instead of them going to my sent items folder, they are coming into
my inbox. How do I stop this?

Click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options. Is the box
labeled "In folders other than Inbox, save replies with original message"
checked? My wager is that it is and that's why you see what you see. The
IMAP "Inbox" is not your default Inbox, since an IMAP account's folder set
can never be the default delivery location. Hence that Inbox is just
another folder to Outlook and falls in the category of "other than the
Inbox".

I have the identical problem, except that it affects ALL messages I send,
whether or not replies. I followed your suggestion, but the indicated box was
NOT checked. Any other suggestions? BTW I have Outlook 2003. Thx

I have the same problem. I am using an AOL address. Everyone that I have
found with this problem is using AOL email address. My co worker also has
AOL and outlook 03 and does not have this problem. We cannot figure out what
setting is off. I have save to sent folder checked and have tried both with
and withot the save replies w originals box checked.
