RECEIVED & SENT Column Confusion

I see you can display the SENT column optionally in Outlook 2003. But
strangely, the SENT column shows a time newer than the RECEIVED column.
Like a message will say SENT 9:59 PM & RECEIVED 9:31 PM. What's up with
that?

Thanks,

If the times are entered in the header with a properly formatted time zone
(-0400), outlook should adjust the times correctly for the display. A few
mail servers are not adjusted for DST, so you will be off an hour.

True, but mine are off by about 30 minutes when displaying both of those
columns. What is the difference between the 2 anyway?

I take it (in Outlook 2003 in the INBOX) that SENT is the time when the
sender originally sent the message and RECEIVED is the time the mail server
got the message... correct? RECEIVED is not when my computer got the
message right?

BTJustice

Correct, for the most part. Depending on your mail server, Outlook may show
the time it collected the mail. I've seen it with a few pop servers... but
most will show the time they received it.
