Received "Outlook caused an invalid page fauld in module OUTLLIB.D

When starting MS Outlook 2000, I received the following message:
Outlook caused an invalid page fauld in module OUTLLIB.DLL at 0187:3a84c36c.
I am unable to start outlook. What is the fix to this problem?
