receipt request options greyed out

Under tracking options in outlook 2000 tools the option to send receipts is
selected and greyed out. Does anyone know why this option is not available?

I didn't test it, but I think you have to be using an
Exchange server for it to work. You running Exchange?

Check your mode in Outlook- Help->About->Second line should say Internet
Mail Only or Corporate or Workgroup. You are probably runing CW mode.
Change it to IMO.

Thank you, it is set to Corporate or Workgroup. Where do you make the
change?

runing CW mode. Change it to IMO.

Milly, the OP said he's connected to Exchange. Won't switching to IMO ruin
that ability?

I am having similar issues that you had with the Outlook. I am using the outlook2000 CW insall/version.
How did you fix the issue?
The IS dept. at my office has set the outlook to the CW Mode? Do I need to have the outlook reinstalled as a ISO mode? Or is there a key in the registery that I can change?

The option is always unavailable in CW mode. Changing to IMO mode will
render your connection to work invalid.
