Recall message

Hi

I want to know more on the message recall function.

When i recall a message, recipient receive a message requesting the recall.
If recipient open the requesting recall message first, message recall is
success.
If recipient open the original message first, message recall is failure.

If recipient do nothing to requesting recall message & original message,
recall never execute, right?

Is it the exchange 2000 design or some configuration wrong in my system?

thanks

Nope, that is correct behavor; the recall function needs user interaction.

If recipient do nothing to requesting recall message & original message,
That is not my expirence. Somewhere, I see that if I wait long enough the
recall message take over the original massage, and both messages dissapers.
Without user invention.
I have however expirenced that in the newer Outlook XP and forward, the
recall newer seem to dissaper.

It is correct that if a recipients have opened the message, then the
automatical recall cannot proceed.

Kind regard
