I have a workbook with mupliple tabs. On one of the tabs (well call it "TB Separate Co") there is an equation that says something like ='Initial TB'!E8. That cell on Inital TB is an input cell (no equations). The workbook is set to automatically recalc. Sometimes I will copy a row of information from another workbook and paste it to the Inital TB page which will update information including cell E8. Unfortunately on some occasions the equation on the TB Separate Co page doesn't update for the new information. I can save the file and reopen the file and it still does not update the information. However, if I hit F2 (Edit) and then hit Enter it updates the field
Last year I started using this file by taking another Excel file that had three tabs in it to start. The file now has about 30 tabs. Someone told me that if you take a file that has been updated through various versions of Excel and us it to expand upon this problem will sometimes occur. Don't know if there is any truth to that theory. The initial 3 pages were from such a file
This problem occurs at random from what I can tell and the example above could occur in numerous locations throughout the workbook. Is there any way to fix this problem to make sure the file will automatically update the cells as it would be very difficult to check each equation in the file to make sure it is updating properly.
