Recalculation in excel2003 for some users

after upgrade to off2003, for some users after opening an xl-sheet, the sheet
is not automatically recalculated (for other users it does!)
we have removed users from active directory and local pc: first problem
seemed to be solved, but it returned!
 
Go to Tools | Options | Calculation (tab) and ensure that Automatic
recalculation is selected.

If your user(s) open a workbook which has manual calculation specified
in it, Excel will choose this setting for other workbooks opened in the
same session.
