Recalculate Hyperlinks not working in FP 2003 to refresh included content?

Hi.. hoping someone can help me here.

I have a large web I moved over from FP 98 a while back. It uses
includes for various common footers.

When I bring up the included page and change it, FP takes a long time
and seems to be hitting the hard disk pretty hard. If I bring up any
page in the editor that includes the included page, it shows the changes
I made. But the actual HTML text files when viewed externally do not
reflect the changes. Even Recalculate Hyperlinks does not help.

I have used this feature in FP2003 about 5 months ago, so I cannot
figure out what has happened. Any clues would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

peace,

That's how includes work.

The include is actually "included" when you publish.

Actually, it does change the pages immediately when you change the
include or recalculate.

I just discovered my problem -- I stupidly had two copies of my web, and
I was changing one in FP and looking at the HTML files in another!

Sorry to have wasted anyone's time.
