Recalculate a Worksheet Object

I inserted a worksheet object which calculates some data. When I open my
Powerpoint presentation it doesn't recalculate the object data, I have to
double click in order for the object to be recalculated.

As I am going to send it out as a pps file (I am using Office 2003), I want
to recalculate the object as soon as somebody opens the pps file.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Steve,

Thanks for your help.

The reason I didn't link the excel file to the Powerpoint file is precisely
what you mention, I can not guarantee that everybody will have the file.

I thought that as Excel files are recalculated as soon as you open them up,
I could use this feature to my favor, but unfortunately it doesn't work the
same way when you have an embedded excel file in the Powerpoint file.

A macro could be the solution, but I don't think I can be sure the macro is
going to run for all users, therefore the pps file will not be updated.

Any other idea?

Thanks,

Steve,
Thanks. The reason I want the excel object to be recalculated it's because I
show some values depending on the date, and unfortunately, as far as I know,
in Powerpoint you can not insert calculated field.

Thanks,
