reboots automatically after sp install

windows update failed to load 100%, restarted my system,
and now upon restarting; when "starting windows 2000 pro"
screen loads my system reboots itself. continues with the
same screen.... like it's stuck in a loop. The same
happens when i try to start in safe mode, last good config
mode, all of them. i do not remember which update was
trying to install, i know i have sp3 at least. I cannot
find my emerg. repair disk, (naturally) and win 2k cd
fails to load as well... I can get to a command prompt,
but i am fairly novice as to what to do in there.

Can anyone help me?

Same to me but I can enter the safe mode even with network
acces but I didn´t kept a backup to uninstall SP4.
Could it be posible to reinstall SP4? When I tried it jus
doesnt copy any file...

now i can't even get the o/s to work... tried a '98 boot
disk, but it says now that the os is missing.... this
sucks... any more ideas?

Hi,

I downloaded Win2000 sp4 yesterday and after installing it
the system asked me to reboot, which I did. But then it
could not start Win2000 because for some reason it could
not find ntoskrnl.exe in the system folder. Now since I
had NTFS partition, I cannot access my C drive even when I
startup the computer using win98 boot disk in dos prompt.
I tried to use the win2000 boo disk too(4 floopies), but
the same error (cannot fint ntoskrnl.exe) is shown.

I tried booting in safe mode and other modes too but the
same problem exists.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
