Realtek HD Audio - another one

I like many others am having a challenging time getting the Realtek HD
Drivers to install for my NEW Gigibyte P35 board.

I have read the material from MS and many web sites and of course these
posts. I have removed the UAA drivers and even went into the REGISTRY and
removed the entry under SP3 for the KB888111.....install. I have re
installed the MS UAA driver and then the REALTEK [latest update], I have also
used the newer UAA driver hotfix...etc.. I have also disabled the under the
HARDWARE PROFILE SYSTEM UAA HDxxxxx component and then installed the REALTEK
drivers [which of course appear to install without a failure], but they are
not there when you look at the audio system profile and of course do not
function.

For some reason I cannot get the combination of the UAA driver and the
REALTEK installation to work.

I have XP SP2 with the latest patches.

Any help would be appreciated

I have the same MB using xp pro latest svc packs/updates I had no issues with
installing the audio drivers, although at times I do experience some audio
issues, ie buzzing and distorted sound. my MB is revision 2.1

Interesting. I have the same motherboard. The differences are I have XP
home, and the motherboard is an upgrade to a machine that is 3 yrs old -
hence based on an older initial install of XP.

I have the same MB using xp pro latest svc packs/updates I had no issues with
installing the audio drivers, although at times I do experience some audio
issues, ie buzzing and distorted sound. my MB is revision 2.1

I tried this method and it has given me decent sound.
remove all drivers for the sound card, uninstall them, then uninstall the
sound card, reboot, upon loading windows it will say it found new hardware,
don't use that to renew the drivers, cancel it out. after windows loads
completely, insert the mb drivers cd and make sure to only install the audio
drivers, do not use Microsoft drivers, use only the drivers on the install
cd, this should resolve your issues.

Worked. I had to disable the UAA to uninstall it. I was originally trying
everything else but the obvious I guess - reading too much into blogs on the
web sites.
