Trying to install - half way through install program tells me I don't have
administrator access and cannot continue.
Any ideas please?

Natural first question is: *are* you logged in as an Administrator account?
 
I have got the same problem as Neil and I am the Administrator. It also says
I do not have the right to add to the Registry. (Which I am not going to
touch!)

Is it because Windows Media Player11 will not allow another music player on
the same computer?
