RealPlayer 10.0 Alpha Linux/Unix/Solaris Testing

About:
RealPlayer plays streaming audio and video over the Internet in real-time.
It plays RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, 3GPP Video, Flash, SMIL 2.0, JPEG,
GIF, PNG, RealPix and RealText. It is available for Windows, Macintosh,
Pocket PC, Nokia 9200 Series, Nokia 7650, Palm OS 5-based handhelds,
Linux, Solaris, and many Unix variants.

Changes:
This release is built on top of Helix Player, and uses GTK+ 2.0, instead of
Motif. It adds support for RealVideo 10 and RealAudio 10, and contains
many performance improvements. It also provides a Mozilla plugin, along
with builds compiled with GCC 2.95 and GCC 3.2, for Mozilla compatibility.

Helix Player 1.0 and RealPlayer 10

Alpha Release Notes

The Helix Player 1.0 is the completely dual licensed, both open source
(RPSL) and commercial community source (RCSL), media player and thus
contain no non-open source components. It plays open source formats,
like Ogg Vorbis and Theora.


The RealPlayer 10 for Linux builds on top of the Helix Player and will
include RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, Flash, MPEG-4 (fee-based) and other
non-open source components.
