Really simple question: subtract and divide

I'm a beginner. How do I subtract and divide cells. I know the sum and
product functions for addition and multiplication.

Is equal to =(A1=A2)
Add =A1+A2
Subtract =A1-A2
Divide =A1/A2
Multiply =A1*A2
Is less than =A1<A2
Is less than or equal to =(A1<=A2)
Is More than =(A1>A2)
Is More than or equal to =(A1>=A2)
Is not equal to =(A1<>A2)

=A1-B1
=A1/B1

no need for sum, unless summing a range or a number of cells.

One way:

A1: 15
A2: 3

To subtract:

B1: =A1 - A2

resulting in 12. To divide:

B2: = A1/A2

resulting in 5.

I can't just write A1-B1 in a cell or it comes up as just "A1-B1". What else
do I need to do?

ALWAYS include the equals sign in front of any formula.
So it's =A1-B1, not A1-B1.
