REAL PLAYER CRASHES

Any suggestions why the "auto-update" option on the real-
player never seems to work under windows XP? Everytime a
dialog box appears alerting me of availiable updates for
the software, it always crashes when trying to action it.

It's ONLY for the real player & Im tired of re-installing
over & over.
