Real Alternative v1.20 final released

It has streaming problems with certain streams/codecs (bbc) - consider
staying with 1.20b7 'til they figure it out.

Yes, it's true 'cause I can't hear any samples which are formated by
Real codecs from amazon.com, for example.

I know people hate it. But i do use realplayer v8.0 rather than
realalternative. Unsure why but it has problems playing certain files and
has issues trying to work with Opera and Mozilla.. at least for me, where
as realplayer doesnt. Having said that i do use Quicktime Alternative which
is great!!

Agreed - I fluctuate between rp8 and ra. And rp8 comes with all of the
controls available (e.g. cookies), whereas RA defaults them for you.
I -think- that ra will end up with
the higher resolution/speed (it comes with all of the codecs, whereas with
rp8 one needs to go to real and get the missing ones). IIRC, they both
use the 6.0x innards.

Someone reported a spy-free version of RP ( RealOnePlayerV2GOLD)
available on the bbc - but I've not had a chance to examine it.

All of this changes, however, with the announcement of the RP
vulnerabilities -
all of these will be modified shortly:)

I notice that the latest realalternative has a plugin for
Opera/Mozilla. Perhaps that would overcome your problems ?
