Reading Pane - Turn off in MST file

M

Mike Ballard

I'm using the Custom Installation Wizard in the Office
2003 Resource Kit to create a .MST file for a custom
network installtion point and I can't find where you can
change the default setting for the Reading Pane feature.
Normal default is RIGHT. I want all new installations
using this .MST file to have this set to OFF.

Any help?
Thanks...
Mike

You can't; it's a view setting. Just curious; why do you want to turn it
off?

Why would you want to turn this off. It is one of the
best features in 2k3. Try running with it for a bit and
I bet you will like it

I hate it being on the right-hand side. At the very least
I want it set by default to be at the bottom. What is the
registry key that controls this setting?

Thanks...
Mike

There is no registry key for this. View settings are kept within the
pst-file/mailbox as hidden "messages" just like "Rules and Alerts" and
custom forms.
