Reading Pane Greyed Out

Today when I turned on my computer, the inbox for Outlook did not look
right. I normally display the reading pane but it had disappeared. I
thought it just needed to be turned back on, but the Reading Pane
option on the Customize View is greyed out. I originally had Outlook
2003 SP1. I just upgraded to SP2, thinking that might help the problem,
but it is still there.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Home or Office user?
 
Problem solved. I looked under disabled items (Help - About Outlook), and
found that Reading Pane was listed there. I enabled it and it has come back.
