I have totally re-installed windows XP 4 times now, and each time i install the SP1a i get the slow to start windows problem
I have never had any problems until just recently. so i have removed the SP1a and the system now runs fine. but i do want the SP1a on my system for the enhanced perfomance etc.
So Microsoft whne are you going to admit you have **edit**up here and publish a response to the hundreds of people that have the exact same problem, and get a fix sorted out for this frustating issue. or at least let people know the cause of it

One of the problems that MS is aware is that the memory management has
change with SP1. MS stated that they should be fixing this with SP2, later
this year.
