Read Reciepts not being recieved between specific users

I am in a big enterprise and we have a a problem that when the supervisor of
a specific user sends out a read receipt request and the user reads the
email, no receipt gets sent. This user's account sends the read receipts to
any other user who request a read receipt just not the supervisor. I have
checked out all of the settings and nothing looks wrong. We have one other
supervisor and user with the same problem. We have reset the profiles and
nothing has solved the problem on either machine yet. Any thoughts?
 
These users could just be denying the read receipt. I'd give it a test.
Have the supervisor send a test message while you're standing there to be
sure he/she answers "Yes."
