Read Receipt Can't Be Sent

I download most of my mail via Spamcop. I recently
received a couple of emails that requested receipts but
because they were downloaded via Spamcop Outlook is
trying to send the receipts via Spamcop. Unfortunately I
can't send mail via Spamcop's servers. I can see Outlook
try and fail to send these receipts every couple of
minutes. How can I cancel them? They don't appear in
the outbox and I can find no trace of them.

I found this link http://www.outlook-
tips.net/howto/delete_rr.htm in an old post. It's a
utility called Outlook Spy and one of the things it can
do is delete read receipts that can't be sent. Very
useful and solved my problem easily.
