Read only right to security logs

Hello,

We have Windows 2000 DCs. I need to grant read only permission for some
users to view Security Logs. Is there any way to do such thing? I want
this permission to be read only. I know that "Manage Auditing and
Security Logs" right gives too much access. Users can clear Security log
with this right set. Is there any solution to make them to only view
Security log? Thanks.

There is no native way, you can purchase some other software (such as monitoring
software like MOM or other monitoring/management tools or event log specific
tools) that allows you to pick up the logs and move them to another machine and
then displays the info to whomever you grant access to.
