Read Only problem

There seems to be a problem with "read only"attribute of a folder. When I
uncheck the "read only", the change is NOT applied, and the folder persist to
be "read only".
Is this a known bug in Vista Ultimate?
Is it possible that the problem is caused because I have not activated my
product and VISTA is functioning with limited capacity?

Another old Windows problem that's been around forever they never fix.
You may need to slowly work your way through the folder by changing
any read only attribute flag in EACH file within the folder before you
can clear the folder's read only attribute.

Just think of it this way:
You can NOT change a FOLDER to read / write. You can ONLY change FILES to
read / write or read only.
