Read Only Error

couldn't have said it better myself: "I am using word in Office 2000 Pro, I have a user when he
saves a document, he always gets a message that the
document is read only. This happens even when he created
the document. For instance, he opens a new document,
types his name, goes to save, and it says this file is
read only.....

How can I fix this?" - - - Thanks Emily, and all of you who are experiencing the same. I can only hope that someone will recognize a solution so I can reduce the calls with Network Support.
 
You could try saving the document again with the same file name replacing
the "Read Only" file but save it locally to your hard disk. Open the
document and try again.
