I have placed my Access 2000 database in a shared folder
that can be accessed by two computers. The second
computer, where the database does not reside, will not
allow me to manipulate data, it only opens in a "read-
only" mode. I have followed the instructions within
Access regarding seting up a shared file
(Tools/Options/Advanced). Any thoughts? Thanks for the
help. Ross

(The user on) the second computer needs Read/Write and
*Create/Delete* permission on the directory where the
datbase resides. The second computer needs Create/Delete
permission because it has to be able to create/delete the
locking file (.ldb).
