Read only dials internet

I have archived several files to a CD. When opening Word Files (which, when
burned onto a CD, automatically become read-only), the files open OK, but a
dial-up connection is made...

How can I stop dial-ups from occuring just because I open a Word file on a
CD?

Actually, the problem is with Adobe PDFMaker.dot... if I remove the add-in
from Word's startup directory, everything works fine...

On to the Adobe newgroup...
