read flag on outlook messages

Hello,

I am having a user who has seen where his e-mails get marked as read by
themselves on several occasions. He does not highlight them or anything. has
anyone seen this?

Aloha jhayes,

Maybe he has a rule marking them as read? Maybe somebody else is reading
his mail (with OWA perhaps?) remotely?

In addition to Ben's suggestions, some antivirus or -spam scanners have that
side-effect.

And he may be using the Reading Pane - so check the settings in Tools |
Options | Other | Reading Pane.
